Crochet 12 Month old Sashay yarn Shirt

Enjoy this cute Crochet 12 Month old Sashay yarn top.  I made this top for my daughter. I wanted to find another way use the Sashay yarn, so I made this cute shirt. I was happy to make a video to go with this pattern since I figured it may be a little tricky to attach the sashay yarn to the top. I measured this top to another 12 month top my daughter had to make sure the measurements were correct.

The pattern is at my new site:

Crochet Popsicle Cozy

My daughter loves to eat a popsicle in the summer, but I always give her a towel to keep her fingers from freezing. So I thought it would be a great idea to make her a popsicle cozy! She was always complaining her fingers were cold when I gave her a cold popsicle. So I thought it would be a great idea to make her a popsicle cozy! She loved the idea and has been using the popsicle cozy ever since.

Crochet Ipad Cozy

Come check out my new Crochet Site with new patterns, http://crochetjewel.com/

If you tell others about my work, please only link back to my blog, but don't copy my patterns to your site. Also you can sell anything you make from my patterns, but don't sell the free pattern. Thank you!

Two patterns to choose from!

Materials:
I hook
Red Heart Love Green yarn, white yarn
button
Yarn Needle

Abbreviations:
sc=single crochet
dc=double crochet
sl st=slip stitch
ch=chain

Pattern one, I hook, green yarn
Rnd 1. Chain 50, connect to the other end with a slip stitch to create a circle.
Rnd 2. ch 1, sc in each stitch around, sl st in the chain 1, -50 sts.
Rnd 3. ch 2, dc in each stitch around, sl st in the beginning of chain 2, -50 sts
Rnd 4-26. Repeat by alternating between round 2 and round 3, back and forth until you reach round 26.

Sow the bottom together with a yarn needle and green yarn to close it. Keep the top open.

Loop: slip stitch with green yarn on  the open center top on one side, then chain 12, then slip stitch in the previous sl st. This will create a loop, to loop around the button to close the cozy.

Flower: Found here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/flower-11, I used an h hook and white yarn, I changed the pattern a little.

Then sow button on top of the center of the flower.
You will have a seam with the slip stitches, you can place the seam off to the side so no one can see it.

Pattern 2, I hook, Green yarn
Another easy pattern for a cozy, is just chain 50, connect by making a circle, and hdc or sc around without a slip stitch (work in continual rounds) until its the length you need to cover the Ipad, this will eliminate the seam. You can use the flower pattern the same as above.

Crochet Sashay Yarn Purse

Come check out my new Crochet Site with new patterns, http://crochetjewel.com/

If you tell others about my work, please only link back to my blog, but don't copy my patterns to your site. Also you can sell anything you make from my patterns, but don't sell the free pattern. Thank you!

I was trying to find different way to use some Sashay yarn I had laying around. I made a scarf and then a toddler skirt and wanted to try something different. I was searching some yarn sites and saw a cute ruffle Sashay purse. So after some trial and error, I made this cute purse.

Supplies: Impeccable Grey yarn, or whatever yarn you prefer
Sashay blue yarn, 1 ball was used
G and f hook
Ribbon, any kind is fine, as long as it fits in the triple crochet belt space, I used blue ribbon

If you would like a bigger, wider purse, then add more chains

Chain 25, g hook with grey yarn
Rnd 1. sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, and each chain across, work 3sc at last chain,   -26sc
Rnd 2. Do not turn, work on the opposite side, ch 1, sc in each stitch across, work 3sc at the end stitch in that row, continue around, and work sc in each stitch across, sl st in the chain 1, -52sc
Rnd 3. ch 1, *sc in the next 3 stitches, 2sc in the next, *Repeat around, sl st, -65sc
Rnd 4-5. ch 1, sc in each stitch around, -65sc
Rnd 6-15 . ch 2, dc in the back loops in each stitch around, sl st in the beginning chain. -65dc

Rnd 16. ch 1, sc in the back loops in each stitch around, sl st. -65sc
Rnd 17-18. ch 1, sc in each stitch around, twice, sl st. -65sc

Rnd 19. ch 3, triple crochet in each stitch around, sl st, -65 triple crochet, this will be belt loop for your ribbon

Rnd 20-21. ch 1, sc in each stitch around twice, sl st. -65sc

Strap: chain 110,
Row 1. sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, -109
Row 2. sc in each stitch across, -109, *Repeat this three times. fasten off,
Sl st the strap on each side across from each other to create the strap

Sashay Ruffle:  F hook

Video I made to help you understand how to create ruffles on sashay yarn: this is for a skirt but shows you how to do the ruffles on a pattern.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8V50K10S2cg&feature=youtu.be

Rounds for Sashay purse: f hook with sashay yarn

Rnd 6. start in round 6 for ruffles. *Create the Sashay Ruffle on hook first to start, by folding the yarn inward about an inch, and inserting hook in the 2nd loop from the beginning of the fold. Skip two loops on the sashay yarn, insert hook in the 3rd hook on the yarn and pull through the loops on the hook.

In Round 6 of dc back loops Insert your hook with the sashay ruffle that you create (directions above) in the first dc back loop at the back seam. skip one loop on sashay yarn and insert hook in the next sashay yarn loop and pull the sashay yarn loop through the skirt back loop and sashay yarn loop, this will create the 2nd ruffle. So Insert your hook in each dc back loop for each round. Then skip one loop on the sashay yarn loop and then pull through both loops. *Repeat for each row for ruffles

Rnd 7 Skip this row of back loops, then start a row of ruffles in the next row of back loops.

Rnd 8. *Repeat Row of Ruffles (same as rnd. 6, same as above.)

Rnd  9 Skip this row of back loops

Rnd 10. *Repeat Row of Ruffles (same as above.)

Rnd 11. Skip row of back loops

Rnd 12. *Repeat Row of Ruffles (same as above.)

Rnd 13  Skip row of back loops

Rnd 14. *Repeat Row of Ruffles (same as above.)

Rnd 15.  Skip row of back loops

Crochet Sashay Ruffle toddler Skirt

Come check out my new Crochet Site with new patterns, http://crochetjewel.com/

If you tell others about my work, please only link back to my blog, but don't copy my patterns to your site. Also you can sell anything you make from my patterns, but don't sell the free pattern. Thank you!

Enjoy this cute Sashay yarn skirt. My little one is only 7 months and I can't wait for her to wear this cute skirt I made for her when she becomes a toddler. I saw a few of these skirts online, but you had to pay for the pattern, so I decided to create one myself after some trial and error. I was happy to make a video to go with this pattern since I figured it may be a little tricky to attach the sashay yarn to the skirt.

Supplies: Caron Soft Pink yarn, or whatever yarn you prefer
Sashay yarn, 1 ball for the toddler size, and 1 1/2 balls of sashay yarn for the bigger size
I and f hook
Ribbon, any kind is fine, as long as it fits in the triple crochet belt space

(Girls size 2, 4)
Finished waist: 20", 22"

Directions are for size 2 and 4, if you want a smaller size, then use less chains for the waist. Use your measuring tape to measure.

(Chain 66 for size 2, or 72 for size 4), join to first ch to form a loop. Be careful not to twist it.

I hook with pink yarn
Rnd 1. sc in each stitch around, sl st. (66,72)
Rnd 2. ch 3, triple crochet in each stitch around, sl st in beg chain. (66,72) (this will be the ribbon belt loops)
Rnd 3-4 ch 1, sc in each stitch around, sl st. (66,72)  *Repeat for next two rounds

Rnd 5-7 *ch 1, sc in the back loops in each stitch around, sl st, (66,72) *Repeat for the next three rounds
Rnd 8. ch 1, *sc in the back loops in next two stiches, 2sc in the next stitch in the back loops, *
Repeat around, sl st
(88,96)
Rnd 9-24. *ch 1, sc in the back loops in each stitch around, sl st, *Repeat, (88,96)

Take Ribbon and skip two triple crochet and insert in the next loop, *Repeat around, then in the center front, opposite side of the seam, skip 4 triple crochet in between the two ends of ribbon and connect the two ends of the ribbon and make a bow.

For Size 4, I would continue the length to 6 more rows, so go to round 30.

Sashay Ruffle: Ballet, F hook

Video I made to help you understand how to create ruffles on sashay yarn skirt:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8V50K10S2cg&feature=youtu.be

Rounds for Sashay skirt:  f hook for ruffles

Rnd 5. start in round 5 for ruffles.

In Round 5, Insert your hook with the sashay ruffle that you create (directions above) in the first sc back loop at the back seam. skip one loop on sashay yarn and insert hook in the next sashay yarn loop and pull the sashay yarn loop through the skirt back loop and sashay yarn loop, this will create the 2nd ruffle. So Insert your hook in each sc back loop for each round. Then skip one loop on the sashay yarn loop and then pull through both loops. *Repeat for each row for ruffles

Rnd 6-7 Skip 2 rows of back loops, then start a row of ruffles in the 3rd row of back loops.

Rnd 8. *Repeat Row of Ruffles (same round 5. same as above.)

Rnd  9-10 Skip 2 rows of back loops

Rnd 11. *Repeat Row of Ruffles (same as above.)

Rnd 12-13. Skip 2 rows of back loops

Rnd 14. *Repeat Row of Ruffles (same as above.)

Rnd 15-16  Skip 2 rows of back loops

Rnd 17. *Repeat Row of Ruffles (same as above.)

Rnd 18-19.  Skip 2 rows of back loops

Rnd 20. *Repeat Row of Ruffles (same as above.)

Rnd 21-22.  Skip 2 rows of back loops

Rnd 23. *Repeat Row of Ruffles (same as above.)

Rnd 24. Leave alone

For Size 4, I would continue the length to 6 more rows, so go to round 30. Just alternate every 2 rows skip like seen above.

Crochet Ruffle Sashay Scarf

Come check out my new Crochet Site with new patterns, http://crochetjewel.com/

The Sashay scarf is so popular and cute right now! I was so excited to make a scarf after I saw a you tube video on how to make one. I thought it would be hard to make the Sashay scarf, but it was pretty easy and fun. My daughter saw the Sashay yarn scarf and wanted me to make her one too. They make nice gifts and just an easy project to do.

J hook, Boutique Sashay Scarf Yarn, Scissors

Below is a video on how to do this scarf that I found, this scarf is easier then I thought it would be.

Beginning at the top right edge, skip the first 4 loops, place your hook in the 5th loop, skip a loop, put the next loop on your hook, do this 9 more times, grab that first loop and pull the first loop through all the loops for the first ruffle.

So Just Repeat this for each ruffle, skip a loop, and put the next loop on your hook, skip a loop, do this 10 times(you will have 10 loops on hook to pull through the first loop for each ruffle), and grab the first loop and pull the first loop through all the loops for each ruffle.

If you want a shorter scarf, you can end earlier. Or you can add more loops to your hook, you can add 15 loops instead of ten for a shorter scarf. If you want a longer scarf and do the pattern above, do 10 loops for each ruffle and do it to almost the end.

After you worked the last ruffle, At the end to Finish, there will be 10-15 loops or so left or when you prefer to stop, grab the end and wrap your hook around it (the video shows how to do this), pull the end through the rest of the loop on your hook. Tighten it, you can secure it with a knot, then cut the tail off, and leave a 1/2 inch or so, And the other end, secure it with a knot and you can cut too. Then the ruffle scarf is finished and ready to wear.

I used this You tube video to learn how to do this Ruffle Scarf
