Materials: D hook, Purple Red heart thread yarn size 3, 
Work 12 dc in the Magic Circle, sl st
Row 2: Ch 3(counts as dc), dc in the same dc, 2 dc in the next 4 dc, Turn -10 dc
Row 3: Ch 3(counts as dc), dc in the same dc, 2 dc in the next 9 dc, Turn -20 dc
Row 4: Ch 3(counts as dc), dc in the next 19 dc, Turn -20 dc Fasten off.
Row 5: sl st in the 8th dc from row 4, Ch 3(counts as dc), 3dc in the same dc, skip a dc, 4 dc in the next dc, *Repeat two more times, total of 4 (4 dc's)
**Rows 6-7: sl st into the next 2 dc, Ch 3(counts as dc), 3 dc in the same dc, skip four dc, 4 dc in the next dc, *Repeat two more times, total of 4 (4 dc's) **Repeat for Two Rows.

Crochet Mouse Ears Headband

Supplies:
F and G hook
Red Heart Black and Pink yarn
 Headband
Abbreviations:
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
dc=double crochet
ch=chain
**Special Note, if you feel the headband doesn't stay on your child's head, you could just sc half way down on both sides, and leave the half bottom on both sides unworked. I noticed on my daughter's head, it slipped around some, but it did still stay on her head. So you could omit 20 sc on both sides after read this pattern.
F hook
Row 1: create a slip knot onto your hook, start at the bottom of the headband and sc across the headband to the other side, sc for a Total of 90 sc. Fasten off.
Ears: G hook, Make 4
Work 10 dc in the Magic circle, sl st -10 dc
Rnd 2: ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in same st. as joining, 2dc in each dc around. join with sl st on top of chain 3. -20 dc
rnd 3. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), *2dc in next dc, dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, sc in the last 4 dc sl st, -26 sts 
Sew the two Ears together twice to create two ears.
Attach the Ears: *Count up to 25 sc from the first sc, sl st with your Ear and Sl st in the next 5 stitches of the Ears to the headband. Now on the opposite side of the headband, *Repeat, Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Now If you choose to make the bow, sew the bow in the center of the Ears with your yarn needle.

Bow: G hook
Chain 20, work sc in the 2nd chain from the hook and each sc across, -19 sc
Rows 1-10: sc in each back loop across -19, *Repeat for a total of 10 rounds. Rnd 11: sc around the edge of the bow. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Take Yarn over the middle of the bow at least 10 times and fasten off. Sew the bow on top of the purse between the ears.

Instructions:
rnd 1: Work 11 dc in the Magic Circle, sl st -11 sts.

rnd 2. ch 3 (counts as a dc), dc in same st. as joining, 2dc in each st. around. join with sl st on top of chain 2. -22 sts.
rnd 3. ch 3, counts as the first Dc stitch, *2dc in next st., dc in the next stitch, repeat from *around, join with sl st. -33 sts.
rnd 4. ch 3, dc in the next st., 2dc in the next st., *dc in the next two stitches, 2dc in the next stitch, repeat from *around, join with sl st. -44 sts.
rnd 5.  ch 3, dc in the next two stitches, 2dc in the next st., *dc in the next three stitches, 2dc in the next stitch, repeat from *around, join with sl st. -55 sts.
Rnds 6- . *ch 3, dc in each st around, join sl st., *repeat . When the hat reached 7 inches long.
Ear flaps:
Make 2
G hook
1st ear flap, you can slip stitch onto the side of the hat with your Grey yarn, begin the dc stitches, (like to have the seam in the back of the hat, so I do the ear flap on the side of the hat)
2nd flap, fold hat in half and sl st in dc directly across from the last dc from the other ear flap. follow directions below for both ear flaps.
Row 1. ch 3 (counts as a dc), dc in the next 11 dc stitches, turn. -12 sts
Row 2. ch 3, dc2tog. dc in the next 6 stitches. dc2tog. dc in the last st. turn. -10
Row 3. ch 3, dc2tog, dc in the next 4 stitches. dc2tog. dc in the last st., turn. -8
Row 4. ch 3, dc2tog, dc in the next 2 stitches. dc2tog. dc in the last st. turn. -6
Row 5. ch 3, dc2tog twice, dc in last st. cut yarn and pull through -4
The braid from the center of the ear flap at the bottom, attach two colors of yarn, Grey and white yarn, with a sl st in the center of the bottom of the ear flap and chain 25, and sl st it off and cut yarn.
sc around the edge of the hat with white yarn.
Front Flap: G hook, White yarn, Row 1: ch 3 (counts as a dc), dc in between the two earflaps, it may very for the count on which size you choose for the hat. dc in the next 15 dc, turn -16 dc
rows 2-9: ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each across, turn -16, Repeat for a total of 9 rows
sl st with Grey yarn, sc in around the front flap, fasten off and weave in the ends. Sew two buttons on top of the flap about 3 inches apart, and sew the front flap to the hat. sl st.
